Exam 1 Grades Posted On Blackboard

The grades for Exam I are posted on Blackboard. There was only one troublesome question, so I threw that one out. Although there were only four A's, there were a lot of high B's and not many C's, so it was a pretty good normal distribution.

As a class, you did very well. The mean was around 79% (see stats below), so I didn't figure in much of a curve. However, your number correct was divided by 46 instead of 47, so you did get a few extra points.

Statistics
MEAN 79%
MODE 85%
MIN 47%
MAX 96%
STDEV 13%

Handouts Posted for Chapter 8

The handouts for Wednesday's class are now posted. You can download them here.

Also, don't forget that if you signed up last week, we will have a focus group right after class. Lunch will be provided, and you'll receive extra credit.

For those of you who weren't able to attend, I'll provide you with an opportunity later in the semester. If you signed up and something came up, it's OK, too.

Wednesday's Class

There are no handouts for Wednesday 9/16, since we'll hear from our guest speaker, Tim Raiet of Pita Pit. Be prepared to ask questions to gain background information from the project.

Before Mr. Raiet speaks, we'll go over the details of the project, and I'll give you the handout for Part I.

I posted them in Powerpoint format, rather than PDF, since that appears to be the format preferred by most students.
