The handouts for Chapter 19 (Regression Analysis) are now posted. This is an important lecture that will be a big part of the final, so plan to be in class if at all possible.

Just Posted: SPSS Guide For Tests of Differences and SPSS Data

I have posted the data set for the project. Keep in mind, though, that the limited version of SPSS that comes with the book will not work with this data because there are too many variables and rows of data. You can download it here.

Also, I posted an electronic version of the handout from last Wednesday's lab on tests of differences. Download it here.

Finally, as I mentioned in class today, each group will need to turn in a list of 10-12 hypotheses. This will be due at the beginning of class on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Chapter 18 Handouts Posted

The handouts for Monday (Chapter 18) are now posted. There is a lot of information, so we may not get through the entire chapter. We'll finish up in the lab on Wednesday.

We'll talk about the theory behind parameter estimation and hypothesis testing in class, and on Wednesday we'll finish up and learn how to do it in SPSS.

Files Posted For Survey Data Entry

I have posted the Excel spreadsheet for the survey data here.

You can also download the coding sheet here, and if you need to print out more copies of the survey itself, I have posted it here.

Just to sum up the assignment -- each group will send me one copy of the spreadsheet by Monday. Each group member should have 40 surveys, so if you have four members, you should have 160 surveys, 200 surveys for five members, etc.

I am extending the deadline for the spreadsheets by a few hours. As long as you send me your surveys by midnight on Monday (instead of 5 p.m.), your group won't be penalized.

Handouts For Mon (11/2) Posted

I have posted the handouts for tomorrow's class. I combined a very abbreviated version of Chapter 14's handouts with Chapter 15. We'll probably finish up Chapter 15 in the lab on Wednesday.
